Halcyon Residential Fellowship (2014-2023)
During the Halcyon Residential Fellowship, a diverse, sector-agnostic cohort of founders lived and worked at Halcyon’s headquarters in Washington, DC for multi-week residencies, culminating in a final showcase. Residential fellows received mentorship, training in investment readiness, business fundamentals, impact, and leadership, robust support from business consultants, and a living stipend to develop their entrepreneurial visions.
Once Upon a Farm
Once Upon a Farm is based on the concept that high-quality, nutritious baby food should be a right, not a privilege. In 2015, they created the first cold-pressed, organic pouch baby food. Once Upon a Farm is now a family of organic, cold-pressed baby food and applesauce blends made with fresh organic fruits, veggies, superfoods, and healthy fats.
Wasoko
Wasoko is transforming communities across Africa by revolutionizing access to essential goods and services. By connecting small shops to the digital economy, they fix inefficient supply chains and provide services that were previously unavailable. Wasoko aims to provide everything a retailer needs, with no wholesalers or banks necessary.
Thousands of retailers across Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda use Wasoko’s mobile ordering and delivery service to receive the goods they need as quickly and cheaply as possible while also accessing growth financing for the first time.
Erandi Aprende
Erandi Aprende is an online platform designed to offer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) education to young girls and women) with the help of courses, experiment kits and diverse interactive educational material focused on awakening an interest in science and technology from an early age in order to bridge the STEAM gender gap.
Be Girl
In developing nations the lack of access to sanitary feminine products deprives up to 40 percent of women the ability to complete their educations. By providing environmentally friendly, affordable feminine menstrual management products, Diana is closing gender gaps and ensuring continued educational opportunities. Be Girl has already made an impact, enabling girls and women in Rwanda, Malawi, Uganda and Tanzania to continue pursuing their education.

Coral Vita
Coral Vita helps to restore our world’s dying reefs by growing corals on land and transplanting them into dying/endangered reef ecosystems. Coral reef ecosystems support 500M people and generate $30B annually, but 75% are projected to die by 2050. Coral Vita’s innovative farming system can grow coral at up to 50x natural rates while enhancing the corals’ resiliency to climate change.
Forte
Forte is an innovative way to provide financial services, such as vocational reskilling, to disadvantaged individuals in a way that does not cost the recipients anything, does not cost governments anything, does not rely on donations, and makes a profit for investors. It does this by utilizing Tradable Income-Based Securities (TIBS).
OxiWear
OxiWear is a wearable device that continuously monitors the user’s oxygen levels and alerts the wearer when their oxygen falls too low. When alerted, users can activate a personalized emergency plan with the press of a button on the device, ranging from calling 911 to sending automated text messages to their emergency contacts to save time in those critical moments.
