Bahrain Women's Fellowship (2021)
The 2021 Bahrain Women’s Fellowship was designed for early-stage women-founded social enterprise tech startups based in Bahrain. The eight selected fellows received monthly skills trainings, AWS cloud computing credits and personalized support from AWS experts, and a culminating residency at Halcyon in July 2021. The cohort spanned a range of industries including healthcare, education, and finance.
Daresni
Daresni, which means “teach me” in Arabic, is a web-based platform and booking system founded in 2018 that connects an increasing number of teachers with students for physical, private, hourly home sessions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Alphard
Alphard is a mental health app that provides evidence-based and culturally competent learning to develop emotional intelligence and nervous system regulation in English and Arabic. It acknowledges the social context’s impact on individual health, offers multiple healing modalities, and facilitates users to self-direct in a more informed way.
E-Jam’ia
E-Jam’ia has a mission is to create a community-based financial support system for individuals by providing a mobile application that would digitize the traditional cultural concept of Jami’ia where people get together to save money at a specific time.
