Monika Shukla

Monika is the CEO and Co-Founder of Humble Bee, a mission-driven enterprise building climate-resilient, women-led green livelihoods through scientific beekeeping and pollination services across India. An IIT Kharagpur silver medalist, Liberal Arts postgraduate, and Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, Monika works at the intersection of ecology, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation. Today, Humble Bee operates across 10 states in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Rural Development, State Rural Livelihood Missions, the Gates Foundation, Mastercard, WWF, and other ecosystem partners. The organization is working toward an ambitious vision: enabling one million women to become scientific beekeepers within the next five years, strengthening climate adaptation, food security, and rural incomes at scale. Humble Bee follows a platform-approach with BEEKIND, a beekeeper-first operating system that combines technology and touch, integrating AI-powered insights with an end-to-end value-chain integration model. By turning pollination into measurable economic and ecological value, her work positions bees as critical infrastructure for climate resilience, biodiversity restoration, and regenerative rural economies. She calls this movement India’s “Golden Revolution,” where women, nature, and technology rise together.
