Marco Hernández
Marco Hernández is the Co-Founder and CEO of Carbonof, a nature-based solutions company transforming ecosystem restoration into investable climate assets. He leads large-scale carbon projects across more than 400,000 hectares in collaboration with rural communities in Mexico, generating high-quality carbon credits for global buyers such as Netflix.
He holds a Master of Public Administration in Energy, Technology & Climate Policy from University College London and has completed executive training at Georgetown University. His career spans climate policy, energy markets, and innovation, including roles in the Mexican National Congress and leadership positions in the private sector.
Recognized as Developer of the Year by the Climate Action Reserve, he combines policy, technology, and finance expertise to scale nature-based solutions and drive systemic impact in Latin America’s carbon markets.
