Born and raised in Colombia, Estefania Abello developed an early awareness of inequality and the untapped potential of circular economy solutions in emerging markets. Driven by the ambition to create real, scalable impact, she co-founded Muta after more than a decade of experience in finance and impact investing, while holding a bachelor’s degree in Finance and the CFA designation. Having worked across investment banking and impact funds leading climate and gender initiatives, Estefania built the financial and strategic foundation to turn Muta into a technology company that transforms recycling value chains in Latin America, bringing together a mission-driven team aligned around dignifying recyclers’ work and increasing recycling rates in the region.
