Impact Measurement and Data Collection Internship
(Summer 2026)

Halcyon is offering an exciting internship opportunity for academic credit, providing undergraduate and graduate students with valuable hands-on experience that complements their academic development. Candidates must be able to receive college credit for their internship experience to be eligible.

Our office is located in downtown Washington, DC at 1100 15th St NW. It is close to the Metro, including the Farragut North and Farragut West Metro Stations, as well as many bus lines.

Why Intern at Halcyon

Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in project management, impact data management, data collection, and impact-driven entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Position Summary

  • Support data collection from alumni portfolio statistics.
  • Coordinate with Halcyon’s Alumni team & Program Managers to manage data collection systems.
  • Outreach to entrepreneurs to collect valuable impact data metrics.
  • Report back on data collected, challenges, and recommended solutions.
  • Conduct multi-modal research: desk research, working with databases, conducting key informational interviews, phone surveys, etc.
  • This is a part-time (20 hours per week), in-person role that will run during the summer from June–August.

Experience Required/Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up environment.
  • Passion for impact-driven entrepreneurship and experience in alumni outreach.
  • Highly organized and analytical.
  • Experience in a variety of data collection and research methodologies.

 

Special Considerations:

• You must be able to receive college credit for your internship experience to be eligible.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings to assist with programs and events.

  • Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds to engender trust.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently to achieve common objectives.
  • Reliable work ethic to complete tasks and pitch in where needed.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written skills including grammar and punctuation.
  • Proven ability to communicate articulately and creatively including identifying and recommending solutions to problems.
  • Comfortable with large data sets and data analytics background (preferred but not required).
