Andréa Wooten (she/her) is the Communications Coordinator at Halcyon. She brings over five years of experience in strategic communications across the nonprofit arts, EdTech, and media industries, and a genuine love for social media as a tool for storytelling and community building.

Prior to Halcyon, Andréa held communications roles across mission-driven organizations like Arts & Science Council and Blavity Inc. She is also the Co-Founder of Brown Sugar Playlist, a digital platform celebrating Black music and culture.

Andréa holds a B.A. in English from Howard University and an M.A. in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Sacred Heart University.

In her free time, Andréa loves picking up new hobbies, her current favorite is crocheting.
