Karina Campos
Karina Campos is an Argentinean second-time founder passionate about building companies that drive positive social and environmental impact. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Catholic University of Buenos Aires and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. For over a decade, she worked with development banks such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the World Bank leading infrastructure projects across Latin America. In 2017, she co-founded Nilus, a tech-driven social enterprise incubated at Harvard Innovation Labs which raised over $10M USD, and built a 100-person team to reduce the cost of living for low-income communities. In 2024, she co-founded Bioplastix, a biotechnology company developing next-generation bioplastics through synthetic biology. A member of the GridX portfolio, Bioplastix partners with bioethanol producers and consumer goods companies to scale sustainable materials. Karina brings a unique mix of technical and business expertise, policy insight, and entrepreneurial vision.
