Jay Jeon is CTO at KindEd, where he combines quantitative expertise with growth strategy to make social media and AI literacy accessible to all students. After earning a master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Chicago, and both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Virginia, Jay began his career as a quantitative researcher, developer, and trader. At Ronin Capital, 3Red Trading, and Sigmetrica, he built real-time machine learning models for statistical arbitrage and systematic macro strategies across futures and options markets.

Jay believes in the power of technology to deliver inquiry-based learning at scale and support diverse instructional needs through the thoughtful and ethical use of machine learning. With the potential of education technology to bridge divides, Jay is designing and building the architecture behind KindEd’s adaptive learning system. He oversees platform development and the technical roadmap for KindEd’s school and family solutions. Jay enjoys finding simplicity in complexity and finding intuitive, repeatable, and scalable solutions to challenging problems.
