Akshita Sachdeva is a social innovator and entrepreneur working in assistive technology and healthcare innovations. Akshita’s passion began while working on a college project—a reading and mobility glove for the blind. When her team went to an NGO in Delhi, India to test their prototype, a child who used their glove was thrilled; he called his dad and told him that he could now read and travel on his own, and turned back to Akshita to ask her, “Sister, when can I get this?” This question became a pivotal moment in her life, and motivated her to co-found Trestle Labs in 2017. Over the course of building Trestle Labs, Akshita’s role has extended from product development and UX to team building, business development, sales, and fundraising.
