Jackie Vandermel
Jackie Vandermel is the Founder of Mendria, an AI underwriting platform and “Bloomberg Terminal” for risk-adjusted real estate, designed to detect and price financial risks that traditional models miss. Her work has long centered on exposing what institutions fail to see early enough to act on. She studied Mathematics-Statistics at Columbia University, co-built the world’s first open global emissions inventory for Climate TRACE, collaborating with 100+ technology companies to produce data infrastructure systems used by the US government and Fortune 500s, and was a data engineer at Scale AI. She also built AI tools to inform energy investments at Intentional Asset Management, researched at Stanford, Princeton, and Columbia, and led 30+ partnerships with institutions like White House, Google, and Warner Brothers for nonprofits. She has presented at convenings like AGU, been nominated for the 2026 Earthshot Prize, and her work has been published in 30+ journals and presses.
