Donat Posta is the Founder and CEO of scoutlabs, a company building affordable, scalable digital insect monitoring systems for agriculture and biosecurity. Growing up around his family’s farm in Hungary, he developed an early understanding of the challenges farmers face, which later shaped his mission to modernize pest monitoring through technology.

He has led scoutlabs from concept to global deployment, with devices operating across the United States, Europe, and Africa. His work focuses on combining IoT, computer vision, and predictive analytics to enable real-time pest detection and early warning systems for invasive species.

Donat is particularly focused on supporting government-led biosecurity programs and helping farmers reduce crop losses while minimizing pesticide use. Through scoutlabs, he aims to build a global data-driven infrastructure for protecting food systems against emerging threats.
