Earthbond is a one-stop solar shop for African businesses that want to switch from dirty, expensive diesel and fuel generators to clean, reliable, and affordable energy. The company uses carbon accounting and climate finance to get business owners the best solar products at the lowest cost.
Crop2Cash
Crop2Cash is an Agritech startup dedicated to bridging the financial gap for farmers. By leveraging technology, they provide easy access to formal financing, aiding farmer prosperity and playing a crucial role in combating poverty in Africa.
eAgro
eAgro is a dynamic company that leverages technology to tailor-make simple and easily accessible technology for farmers and their stakeholders. Their flagship product, Cropfix, is an AI chatbot that uses AI, data analytics, and satellite imagery to provide actionable agronomic advice, climate resilience farming practices, and automatic diagnosis of crop diseases via easily accessible mobile platforms such as WhatsApp, USSD, and SMS. Additionally, their CredFarm system offers alternative credit scoring to help farmers access financial services traditionally unavailable to them and allow financial institutions to track these farmers’ seasons.
Farmer Lifeline Technologies
Farmer Lifeline Technologies is a Kenyan-based start-up that developed a proprietary AI technology that places marginalized smallholder farming communities ahead of crop pests and pathogens and empowers them to take action towards climate change.

Farmio’s Green Kit offers a commercially scalable mobile greenhouse kit with smart irrigation, access to an e-platform (The Farmio SuperApp) which gives the user access to an AI-powered crop disease monitoring tool, field officers and agronomists.

Kubik turns hard-to-recycle plastic waste into low-carbon, low-cost building materials.
Trashcoin Limited
Trashcoin is a waste management company that incentivizes individuals and communities to recycle by offering rewards for proper waste disposal. The mobile app connects users with recycling partners, enabling efficient waste collection and fostering sustainable practices. Trashcoin empowers diverse and underserved communities to adopt a circular economy approach, promoting environmental sustainability and reducing pollution.

2023 Program
This program was designed for entrepreneurs with innovative solutions that can improve the livelihoods of farmers while increasing access to quality food for the most vulnerable. Selected founders received a host of workshops, access to advisors and mentors, and more. The programming was delivered in a hybrid modality, with three virtual meetings, a one week in-person residency at Halcyon, and a one week in-person residency in Nairobi, Kenya.
2024 Program
This program brought together founders from across Sub-Saharan Africa, empowering them to address climate challenges through Renewable Energy, Green Building, Climate Data, Agriculture, WaterTech, and Blue Economy solutions. Founders gained expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, a one-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, and a one-week in-person residency in Nairobi, Kenya.
